ATT Broadband - Popular the world over.

Well, it’s a whole new ballgame now. Most people have at least one computer at home, maybe a laptop, and most probably at the office. Moreover, getting on the Internet is part of daily life, like getting coffee first thing in the morning and your pillow last thing at night.
Broadband Internet, also known as high speed Internet, is actually officially called a digital subscriber line (DSL) service, which allows users to connect to the Internet at speeds unheard of 10 years ago. An Internet speed of 128 Kbps is okay, 784 Kbps is normal. It uses a regular telephone line and an external modem allows the user to get on the Internet and still have the phone line free, a problem with dial-up plans.
Broadband plans come in very competitive prices, thanks to the many service providers that abound. Many bundle extras and features for free. One that we will consider here is ATT broadband.
AT&T DSL for the average Joe is available in Texas for example as Basic ATT DSL at US$ 14.99 per month at a downstream rate (downloading) of 784 Kbps and upstream rate (uploading) of 128 Kbps. You have to sign up for year but they throw in 30 day use of Vongo for free for those movies and 90 days free use of ATT broadband TV. However, the Express DSL package seems better value for money because it comes with 11 email accounts, one month free if you apply online, and download speed of 1.5 Kbps. The residential rates can go up to as high as $ 34.99 a month for the Elite DSL package, but you get two months free if you apply online and has up to 6 Mbps download speed.
But that depends on the need, really.
Note: AT&T Yahoo DSL offer the same packages as AT&T But you get that cute logo when you visit the ATT Yahoo DSL website, which is friendlier than the AT&T website, I think. But you don’t get to see the other services of AT&T like wireless and digital TV. And of course if you need to go to small business and corporate plans, AT&T is the site to go to, but then again you probably don’t do cute when you do business, so it’s all good.
